Gentlemen start your engines

Koa is on the move. He's been able to sit up on his own really well for some time now, and he can get down onto his belly from the sitting position. It's just that everytime we set him on the floor in a sitting position he is usually on a triple folded blanket to protect him in case he falls.. well this morning I thought I wonder if I just put him down on his belly on the laminate floor, if he'd be able to move yet. I know it's wishfull thinking as he's not quite seven months yet. But he started puching himself backwards and made it clear across the room. Not fast mind you, but on his own. I tried to entice him to switch the gearshift to forward, by placing a few toys in front of him. But alas it only seemed to aggravate him that when he would tried try to move towards them, he would find himself getting farther away. I was so happy that he was moving that I was taken a back that when I laid him down beside me, I noticed that he now has a third tooth.. He's had just the 2 for about 2 months now.. such a happy morning, I had to write it down...

We buy a house that has a ton of potential. We decide that we'd like to fix it up over the course of about 2-3 years. Somewhere along the way I get a tiny bit of motivation, and BAM I'm going full boar, framing, painting, trimming, building.. I love it, I really do, but I have zero free time, and for that my little journey into parental blogging has had to suffer.

So much has changed, since last I wrote. Koa is now sitting up by himself(has been for a few weeks) and it feels like he's getting really close to make his first journey via the crawl. He's also eating foods now. He seems to like everything that has been thrown at him too.. and he continues to be one of the happiest babies I've ever seen. He's always smiling.

Malaia is getting be quite the little lady. She's really starting to get into all things princess. Especially dresses. She is also learning how to negotiate, which I find quite amusing. And probably my favourite thing about her right now is when she asks for something to eat that we don't have, and you tell her, she looks at you so seriously and says (well, buy some!).

I am really looking forward to Christmas this year. Malaia really seems to get the whole santa clause thing now, and she understands presents now.. I can only imagine how much fun it's going to be and can't wait to see her face when looks under the tree on Christmas morning..
